The ID.5 takes the ID.4's electric hardware and gives it a lower, sloping roofline and slightly better aerodynamics. Mechanically the two are close relatives — the same battery layout, the same rear or dual-motor drive, the same thermal architecture — so their servicing requirements match almost exactly. The differences are in bodywork and glass, which matter when rear cameras or sensors need attention.
