The R7 is a large SUV developed by Chery around HUAWEI's cabin software, driver-assistance stack and electric drive components. It comes as a battery-electric car and as an extended-range one in which a petrol engine works only as a generator, and it charges on a high-voltage architecture built for short stops. Cars reaching the Gulf arrive through specialist importers ahead of a wider rollout, which makes an independent workshop that knows the platform more useful than usual. Yes. We service the R7 at our workshop in Dubai, including the high-voltage system, the range-extender engine where one is fitted, and the HUAWEI assistance and cabin software the car is built around.

Engine oil, filters, coolant and spark plugs on schedule, on top of everything the electric side needs. The generator runs infrequently, which is exactly why it is easy to forget - oil ages by date as well as by distance.

Yes. We test the charge port, onboard charging components, high-voltage cabling and battery cooling, then compare measured charge rates against expected values to find what is limiting them.

Some parts take longer to source and we say so before you commit to a repair rather than after. Diagnostics, servicing, brake, suspension and software work are unaffected.
